Three individuals from Supreme Vikings confraternity have been captured by the police for driving a reluctant man to join their cult group in Ogun state.
Representative of the state Police Command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who revealed this in an assertion said the suspects were captured following a report stopped at Igbesa divisional base camp by one Celestine Oyebuchi who announced that he was kidnapped by the triplet of Williams Omoori a.k.a Tension, Edet Godswill and Emmanuel Dimgba to an uncompleted structure.
Oyebuchi added that he was tormented and compelled to join their confraternity. He expressed further that, the suspects in the wake of tormenting him, gave him blood to drink as an indication of initiation.
The statement read,
“Upon the report, the Dpo Igbesa division, SP Abayomi Adeniji, quickly mobilized his men and went after the suspects. They were subsequently apprehended at their hideout within Igbesa community.
On interrogation, the three suspects confessed been members of Supreme Vikens confraternity, they confessed further that they were looking for more members to join them which led them to the abduction of the complainant who may not want to join them through persuasion.”
Oyeyemi added that the state commissioner of police, CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun, has requested the quick transfer of the suspects to anti cultists section of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation.
He added that the Commissioner of Police has cautioned that conflict against cultism in the state is a constant one however there is opportunity for the individuals who need to disavow their enrollment to do as such before the long arms of the law found them.
